Deidra is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and Nutritionist, based in Tampa, Florida. She has been supporting families in her community for over 10 years. Deidra believes in the importance of community support and works diligently to help families thrive. In fact, Deidra provides breastfeeding education and support through non-profit organizations, she partners with local doulas, pediatricians, OB/GYNs, chiropractors, pediatric dentists, hospitals, midwives, and birthing centers. Deidra owns and operates Love on Top Lactation, LLC.- a client centered company that provides prenatal breastfeeding education, postpartum visits, return to work services, in-person and virtual lactation consultations, and nutrition counseling related to both the birthing parent and the baby. Deidra strives to create safe spaces where individuals and families feel seen and heard.
Deidra is a proud wife, mother of two, and advocate. She strives to bring equity to access of competent lactation care especially when it comes Black and Brown families.

By the end of the webinar, the participate will be able to:

1. Identify the pain points of parents that can potentially cause early weaning and provide solutions to the problems that the family is facing.
2. Create a plush referral list of providers and resources that can offer axillary support to your clients (taking into account parent's learning styles, culture, religion, preferences, etc.)
3. Create care plans that take into account actual lived experiences of clients that make achieving goals realistic
